The chemo and treatments are on track to have Deb's second stem cell transplant Thursday morning. Guess when the high-dollar contract for her out-of-network insurance treatment expires. Wednesday !!! Can you believe it?
I brought Deb home and got her settled in for a rainy-day nap. Then I headed off to the bank, pharmacy, and multiple hospital administrative offices to sort out our financial standing. That's when we discovered the expiration date of the contract.
The insurance coordinator called around and then called back to encourage me that everyone thinks it will be OK to continue with the transplant and that they are sure the contract will be extended. Of course, it's our assets at risk, not theirs!
We don't have much of a decision to make: we're pressing forward since Deb's body has been chemically prepared for this life-giving stem cell transplant. She has also paid her share with pain and suffering these past weeks.
It's probably not a big deal, but it could be! Please pray, all you prayer angels out there!

ReplyDeletePraying!!
ReplyDeleteHi Vern & Deb,
ReplyDeleteGod is a God of miracles! Every time I was up against a wall with a need, He came through with a miracle. I know He has one in store for you in this situation. We are busy praying for that miracle right now.
