Thanks for checking on me!!

Amanda and I are setting up a blog so we can keep you informed as we go along. It's so strange to be writing to unknown people so I am just going to imagine you are all dear friends because I think we will be.

Yesterday was a big day for me. I had a port installed and a bone marrow biopsy. The technicians at Fayette Piedmont Radiology must have been angels in disguise because they were so kind and the entire process are relatively pain free. In my case heavy sedation really worked. The next appointment with Dr. Carr is Thursday. Hopefully the bone marrow will confirm that I have multiple myeloma. If not, we will have to start over in the discovery process. I am amazed that one week ago I got my first MRI and first hint that this was more than a lower back injury. Truly what a difference a week can make.

I am so grateful for all the help, prayers and encouragement I have been given this week. Please continue to pray for clear direction and that we can begin treatment soon.

  2. You are on our mind! I think starting a blog was an excellent idea - you will know you are definitely not alone in this. We wish we could be there with you - hopefully, Evelyn is going to come soon and will be ok to fly with after a couple of months.

    We love you,
