River 'oxbows' are old river beds. Note how many are in the top third of the pix. Each strip is a former river bed. |

Barges being pushed down the mighty Mississippi by a tug boat. Somehow they miss most bridges and make the sharp bends. |

Green fields were much more evident this week. Spring is on the way! |

The area of North Little Rock Deb loves is called Argenta. There is a 'Starving Artist' Restaurant she enjoys. We stopped in for a sandwich before heading to the chemo clinic. We love these old screen door paintings. We asked the price and they are only six thousand each! Guess we will have to leave them in Arkansas. |

The oldest drug store in Arkansas is across the street. |

Electric trolleys ply the Argenta area. Someday we hope to get a ride. |
Well, the day ended up a disappointment. After traveling here for the experimental chemo, it was not available in spite of the best efforts of the staff. We have to wait until Monday am to see what our doctor wants us to do.
Our return to Georgia may be delayed if the doctor wants Deb to get it this week.
In everything give thanks and that's what we are doing!
Blessings all
Your photos make me feel like I was on the trip out with you and Argenta looks like a delightful lunch stop. God's hand is in the circumstances so enjoy your day of waiting by doing something fun together! Love, Mary Roberts
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mary Roberts. I may never make it to Arkansas but I love seeing the pictures you post on 'our' trips. Love and prayers are with ya'll.

Rejoice in all things. Just know the critters are fine. All 4 fuzzy friends are resting atop the bed w me this morning -- er, make that 3 are resting: Oscar wants to play ball!!
ReplyDeleteHi Vern & Deb,
ReplyDeleteA friend from work and her husband(smoldering myeloma patient) should be at the hospital there today. Their names are Anne & Donnell Woodly and they are from Austell. He has appointments there today. If you run into them, tell them hello for me. Praying for you daily.
