SUNDAY-Return home

Cousin Joe from Memphis/Adamsville,Tn

Deb had her experimental chemo today and so far there are no negative affects. She seems to be tolerating it well. We left Saturday morning, flew thru weather to Little Rock, took care of the plane-fueling and securing-got our rental car at the airport, stopped for lunch, and took chemo twice, reversed the process and got home in a little over thirty hours. Not bad, huh?

Deb's first cousin met us at the cancer center for a short visit just after Deb completed chemo today. Joe lives in Memphis and was in Little Rock visiting at another hospital nearby.

Coming home today after the huge storms was turbulent down low so we went up to eleven thousand where we picked up a nice tailwind of sixty mph. Visibility was over 50 miles. That allowed us to get home in the fastest time ever-2:00 hours! We were averaging over 250 mph at times. Not bad for a homemade airplane!

We head back next weekend for more chemo and an appointment with Dr VanRhee.

Deb came in the house and headed for the sun room couch where I think she be headquartering for the evening. We found some left overs which I threw in the oven.

On another note, our youngest son Stephen plays in a band and loves music. Here's a shot of them playing last night. Stephen is on the far right playing bass guitar.

  1. Wow! What speed...Glad you are home safely and Deb is settled in her sunroom. Next post, please answer the trivia question about the newsman and the town in Mississippi. Love, Mary Roberts
