Tuesday night

It's been a very busy few days trying to get back in the Peachtree City routine. Deb is still very tired. I went back to work today but checked on her all through the day.

Food angel Sue came by for a visit. She has a beautiful veggie garden and has brought us delicious samples from time-to-time. Thanks Sue! Deb and Sue had a sweet prayer time.

Today was a  decision day for Deb's sun room addition on the back of the house. I've been struggling with moving forward with the project because of the uncertainty of our life.

Originally it was conceived as a modern-day barn raising but my time is super limited. Friends wanted to take charge then discovered the complex roof line which has stymied me since 1981 when we moved in. A pro is needed to deal with this. So, today I hired one to rough it in! The materials were delivered and the crew shows up at 8 am in  the morning. So, I hope to post progress pix each day while it is being framed up. Here's Deb overlooking the foundation and stack of materials. (The lighting was not good for the photo. Sorry!)

However, paint, insulation, sheet rock, floor nailers, window washers, and clean up crew will all be welcome as the project progresses.

Do you think she is happy?

We have visions of a tall Christmas tree with two grand daughters playing under it this Christmas. Do you think we can finish it in time?

  1. Deb and Vern,
I will pray that it is ready for those beautiful Grand Daughters as well as for you also.
It is great that this is a time for no chemo.
It will give you a chance to get stronger.

  2. Deb,
You're looking great! We keep praying for you and Vern.
    Vern,
I've started classes at Middle Georgia and am living in a camper down there during the week. Our house closing is on the 24th of this month! Praise the Lord! Classes have been pretty easy so far, especially after the training I got with you and the guys on the RV-10. Thanks for all your help! Work and class together has been draining, but it's such a blessing for my company to allow me to continue working while down there.
The sun room looks great! We will keep praying for you both.
