First Babysitting with Granddaughter Eliana

Saturday evening was a first for us. We stayed with Eliana while Jon and Amanda attended a special event. Deb and I had taken a little nap so we would be ready for Eliana's needs. We had supper with Jon and Amanda before they left. We received careful instructions and then we were alone.

Wow! Like real grandparents! So, this is what it's like? Cool beans!

She was a joy to be with. However, about the time she was sound asleep, a huge thunderstorm opened up with great claps of thunder and flashing lightning. Of course she and the three dogs all awakened. Then the lights went out!

It's been a while since I changed a diaper and as I was contemplating doing so in the dark, the lights came back on!

After things calmed down, we all went to sleep. This morning we had some breakfast and headed home.
