Deb is now in the bed at the cancer clinic. Blood cultures finally identified the source of infection and they were ready to fight it with iv's when we got here. Deb is covered up head to toes with blankets trying to stay warm. I just fed her a grilled cheese sandwich in small pieces. The dill pickles were the first food to satisfy her palate in several days. I try to have multiple choices available. The chemo alters her taste buds as well as her vision. They cautioned that her glasses prescription would vary and that it was senseless to change until the treatments are done.
We had one of the most miserable nights. Both of us were puny. In spite of 'not working', I haven't had a day off in forever. It' s very fatiguing being a caregiver!
We took Deb downstairs via wheelchair this morning as she was too faint to walk. Hopefully she will have stregth after the meds kick in.
We saw Israel this morning . He is heading home tomorrow for three months,then coming back for more treatments.

Has developed antibodies for platelets. This requires more complex matching procedures and more time
