Day +32 - Cancer growing confirmed

Doc checks the rash on Deb's arm
Today the doctor confirmed what we had suspected: the cancer in Deb's breast bone area is once again growing.

Deb is having a tough day. She is covered up with a rash. The doc has ordered another skin biopsy. Deb has been running a low grade fever even though she is taking industrial strength IV's 24/7. So, he is looking for a sinus infection or even pneumonia. Therefore, CT's later today. A bag of platelets is on reserve for the morning. After they are infused Deb will get a bone marrow procedure.
So, getting Deb's white cells into a safe range is the immediate goal. Then fighting the cancer with radiation is the most likely next step. That has not yet been decided by the docs. Deb has had about all the chemo a body can endure.
So, not the news we have been looking for but this is reality, as unpleasant as this news is.
We continue to be so grateful for all the caregivers, administrators, lab and tech staffs, prayer warriors, etc.
Today's CRP is not available yet.
We ask for your continued prayers.
Blessings!

Platelets -(Normal range 150-500) a whitish colored component of blood. Low platelets=higher Woozy factor!
CRP -(Normal range = 0.0-10) An indicator of relative health. Lower is better. When the number creeps up, Deb could be getting sick.
