Day + 43 -Hard night, Good Morning -UPDATES

APN Cindy drops by for a visit
Deb is cheerful as usual and looking out the 7th floor window as the sun breaks on the colorful trees across our vista. Our world is whatever crosses in front of our 8' x 8' glass window, or whoever walks in the door, with an occasional phone call, email, or card.
Last night was a hard night as the blends of IV's (six hanging presently) tore into her gut.
Tonight at 9 pm Deb gets a PET scan to determine just where cancer has taken up residence in her frail body.
Expect multiple posts today as events occur.
Be sure to read yesterday's post to get Dr van Rhee's ideas of where we are heading.

+++++++++++++++++++++

Katie came by to give Deb physical therapy

  The PET has been moved to 2:30 this afternoon.

++++++++++++++++++++++

At 1:30 pm transport arrived and hauled Deb to the PET area. She had to drink a jumbo cup of super-sweet yuck then get radioactive material put into a shot in her arm, then wait...wait...wait!

Our pharmacist angel Carla visited with us while we waited. She was heading up the elevator as Vern was heading to join Deb. Sure is nice to have a friendly conversation!

One of the PET machine went on the blink . Wait... , wait..., wait.... Just as soon as she was done, transport was there with a wheel chair to take her to a CT scan in the ER down in the basement. All this with nothing to eat or drink since 07:30 am !

My Pet goes in the PET

Hair is coming back

Blessings!

Check back later
Platelets -(Normal range 150-500) a whitish colored component of blood. Low platelets=higher Woozy factor!
CRP -(Normal range = 0.0-10) An indicator of relative health. Lower is better. When the number creeps up, Deb could be getting sick.
