Day + 41 - Whites moved up slightly! +update

Good news! The numbers are going in good directions. The Dr and Nurse just did an exam and they are very encouraged. The rash is much better. The electrolytes need daily replenishment but are doing well. The doc thinks that if the white count continues upward, many other issues will resolve themselves.  Then we can get back to fighting cancer!

Deb does have a mouth ulcer that has given some pain but she has a bottle of 'magic mouthwash' she is using to combat it.

Stephen is heading back home early afternoon. Sure has been good to have him here.

Today will be a multi-post day. Check back
++++++++++++++++++++++++

Deb has been hooked to an IV pole ever since she came in the hospital. She has intakes for three lines on her line that is inserted in her chest. She has a permanent single port on the other side of her chest. Because Deb is starting to do better, the nurse has just removed the 90 degree needle from the permanent port. It's a small thing but it encourages us! PTL!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Deb has slept most of the day and is getting her noon pills as I write. Then I suspect she will snooze again. Her skin color is better and the rashes are going away.

5 PM
Vern took Stephen to the airport in hopes of catching a ride home so he could work tonight.
Here's a shot of him telling Deb goodbye for now.

Blessings!
Platelets -(Normal range 150-500) a whitish colored component of blood. Low platelets=higher Woozy factor!
CRP -(Normal range = 0.0-10) An indicator of relative health. Lower is better. When the number creeps up, Deb could be getting sick.
