Day + 39- Whites drop some more + update

Deb and Lambie-Pie cuddle while napping. Lambie Pie has been in our family for a very long time:over thirty years!
Last night Vern stayed at the condo and Stephen stayed with Deb. We had a huge storm move through Little Rock last night and the rains came down, the winds blew, but the morning broke bright and clear, although chilly and windy.
Vern brought in a change of pace breakfast and found Deb sitting up and eating apple sauce. She seems to be in good spirits and bright-eyed today.
This will be another multi-post day, so check back for more exciting news! ;)

+++++++++++++++++++++++

The hospitalist doc just made his rounds. I showed him the chart below with the backward slide of the white blood count and he said that he is concerned but that some people just take longer to come up on recovery. Deb is his first Killer Cell patient so he plans on consulting with Dr van Rhee tomorrow to see if a new plan of action is required.

Deb has been napping all morning and has missed a few of your calls, so please try later!
Blessings

Platelets -(Normal range 150-500) a whitish colored component of blood. Low platelets=higher Woozy factor!
CRP -(Normal range = 0.0-10) An indicator of relative health. Lower is better. When the number creeps up, Deb could be getting sick.

    Deb & Vern your faith in the Lord has been a light to so many. I have shared your story with my church group and they have added you to their prayers. Deb you may be out of the classroom but you still continue to teach others -- Your faith is AMAZING and INSPIRING!!!

  3. Sweet Darleys ... So glad Stephen is there with you guys and giving Vern a needed break from around-the-clock care to Deb. I am sorry that Deb's numbers keep going in the wrong direction. Precious photo of Deb and Lambchops! I have a Lambchops, too!! Not as vintage as yours, however. My prayers continue, of course. Larry and I send you love and want you to know how much we care! xox gL

  6. So glad that Stephen has made it there to join you!
    Praying for the #s to turn 'in the right direction'.

    Have been on lymphoma watch with my 85 yo mom since our return from Austin, TX last week. Good visit, but she is not gaining strength and several more chemo treatments to go. Thought often of y'all as we sat in her hospital room each day.

    May you continue to know the peace and presence of the Spirit, Vern and Debbie.
    Love,
    Mike and Jorie
