Wonderful Wednesday Greetings!

Vern has given you the great news we were awaiting. We don't have details but my thinking is that some insurance coverage beats no insurance coverage!! Very quickly my mind started a mental race to make a list of what we have to accomplish before we are "ready to go". I am so happy the Holy Spirit stopped me. I could have missed the sweet time of thankful worship for the Father's wonderful provision. Yes, there are things to do. However I am certain that His list will be the perfect one if I will just listen.

I cannot thank you enough for the love you are giving us. I just cry and cry and cry some more. I love and appreciate you and the amazing ways God is leading you to love us.
May you see the Lord moving in your life today and enjoy that sweet moment of worship that always comes when we see Him. Much love! Deb

  2. Hi Deb!

So nice to see you on here today. I've been reading the blog everyday, and, of course, praying for you and your family in a very special way! Vern and Amanda have done an incredible job keeping all of the people who care about you informed. I can't wait until we get the news that your first granddaughter has arrived! I wish you a blessed day and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day!

    with love,

  3. Deb,
Your blog is a testimony to so many people — proof of God's love and grace, of your blessed marriage to an amazing man of God, of a loving and caring family, of the beautiful, mature Christian woman you are. You bless us more than you'll ever know. I'm praying for you daily! I'm praying for healing, comfort and absence of fear. Much love to you, Vern and your children,

  4. Deb,

I'm trying to share the blog posts with my mom as often as I can. She's able to get up and about more and more each week, but she's still not able to be on the computer very often. She would want me to pass along her thoughts and prayers for you and for Vern. You both are truly inspirational. She hasn't been the most patient "patient" since she broke her leg in January, but she's so grateful for each small victory. One of her hurdles has been fully accepting the generosity and care from others when she's been so used to being the caretaker :) It's so wonderful to find out how amazing friends are! Thank you so much for continue to share with all of us.

  5. Thank you so much for this blog Deb, Vern, Amanda! It is a blessing and thanks for saying we don't have to be profound in what we say. I'm lacking in the profoundness! Just want you to know I'm praying for you every day. Since I can't be profound, I thot I'd give you a couple funny quotes that Phyllis Avrit put on her facebook page: "All my life I always wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific"....Jane Wagner. "Don't be afraid to try something new. Remember the ark was built by amaturers; the Titanic by professionals!" May God bless your day with peace and comfort.........doris dye

  6. Deb and Vern,

Our love and prayers are with you though we've been here and gone again. MISS YOU?? Would we ever!! We are so very grateful for your friendship and inspired by you two. Your zest for life in the Lord, for Him, your giving, your humor, your diligence, your prayers for us - so many things speak to us. From Philemon, we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts (KJV: 'bowels')of the saints (we Sternes and many others)have been refreshed by you. Thank you so much!
Praying for sleep, insurance, needed attention from medical and admin folks, peace, strength to persevere. Listening for little Evelyn...! Love, Steve and Beth

  10. All of "this" touches me in a place that is not comfortable. I feel like I should have some sort of special knowledge or sage advice. But I don't. All I know is that I love you. And I so wish that you weren't living this reality right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  11. Deb,

We are glad to hear of your good news! So glad you are taking the time to enjoy the blessings of the day. It is so hard for us to wait on Him but His blessings make the effort worth it. I know you have many to "dos" on your list. Please let us know what we can do to help. More importantly, let us know what your prayer needs are. We love guys.

  12. Dear Deb,
I am so blessed by the blog and especially when you are able to write. I try to read it every day, but sometimes there is too much going on with my Mom for me to. I do keep up daily through Dave and his conversations with Vern. I'm sure you two have no idea how you are ministering to people through your blog. Sometimes I read it and I am just put to shame! Would I have such a good attitude if I were going through what you're having to endure? I'm not so sure. Vern's postings are the epitome of humble love for his mate and patient faith that God will see you through this, and yours are an example of worship and childlike trust in a God that has your best interest at heart. We could all learn a thing or two from both of you. I hope you know how much I long to be more involved with you, but can't at this time because of the situation with my Mom. It is very frustrating! I am praying for you multiple times a day and look forward to rejoicing with you in your remission.
    love you, Julie K.
