Dancing in the street inside my brain

Great news at the doctors. Had first bone strengthening treatment- Zometa and I am exhausted. I'm going to take a nap, and will post more info later. Rejoice in the Lord.

  1. From Vern-Friday morning-just as the nurse said, Deb has 'flu symptoms.'High fever, parched lips, chills, and very thirsty. Her voice is weak and barely understandable. I've been giving her lots of water and wiping her down with a cool damp clothe. She elected to stay in the hospital bed today instead of her lift chair.

Thanks to all who have brought food. It's sure good to grab something already prepared and give her a few bites. The fresh fruit pieces have really been enjoyed.

It's also been a blessing to hear from some old dear friends. Those voices sound the same although the hair has turned gray or even loose!

Deb's attitude has been amazing to me! She is so greatful and appreciative to all and to me. She is praising God in everything, even the intense pain.

She seems to have a ministering spirit for all who visit. This amazes me because I know how much pain she is in.

Please continue to pray for her spine fractures. It is all we can do to help her move to the bathroom, etc. If more fractures occurred, I'm not sure how we could mobilize her. We have been on a continuing path of stronger drugs. They help for a while, then we need stronger ones.
