Hard Saturday

Today started out as normal as any of our days are with cancer, chemo, far away from friends, family and home. Just a simple check up in the cancer clinic, go home, call us back for lab results. I cooked some lunch for Deb. We took a short nap, then I called back. She dropped a huge amount on white blood count and is neutropenic(no germ fighting ability) and low on several minerals. She had been very emotional and not feeling well, so now we know why! The nurse thought she would be bottomed out by Monday or Tuesday. So, pray those germ protection prayers all you prayer angels!  She'll be wearing masks in public till it goes up again. She says it is difficult to breathe with the medical calibre masks on.

We met a new classmate couple from Memphis. He is retired Army. Nice folks.
