One of lifes' perplexing questions answered!

The first day home was overflowing with activities!

Because Deb had the line in her neck which was removed shortly before our departure from Arkansas, Deb had been unable to shower for the last weeks. After it was removed there was a large bandage installed. Yesterday Deb was able to get a shower which is heavenly if you haven't had anything but a spit bath for a while. Then we were able to take the large bandages off. After that, Deb's body was totally her own until we return on Oct 27th.

The lady is starving so we went to our favorite breakfast spot and chowed down. We bumped into several friends there. Having a car is a treat we have missed! The beautiful leaves in their color-change mode have fascinated Deb. This is our favorite season.

After a very full day, Amanda, Jon, and Eliana came to visit. Shortly after they got here youngest son Stephen arrived. We shared a pizza and good company. Eliana seems to be cutting two teeth and is trying to communicate. When you speak to her she tries to make sounds back to you.

Oh yeah; the answer to life's perplexing question? It's every new grandparent's dilema: what to be called by the new grandbabies? As of today (and subject to change) we are officially known as {drumroll please} Mimi and Pops!

  2. PTL, HAPPY BIRTHDAY I am very happy to see everyone is home and Deb finally got a SHOWER. I was in hospital and know how that feels. The weather is beautiful and the leaves are colorful. Fall is here. Wonderful. That is my favorite time of the year, too. It seems the colors are magical. I am praying for you, Deb. Love, Deb Cook

  3. So good to see you two back home! Everything about you changes when you get back to PTC (and grandbabies):) As far as what the grandbabies will call you--still to be determined. John and I were to be Opa and Oma, but Christopher seems to be intent on Pobo and Momo. It might just stick. One of our friends here locally are known as Lolli and Pop--that seems to be working. Can't wait to see what your official titles will be in about a year:) Love you--Barbara (and John)
