Monday...looking good!

Sunday as I sat down to blog, the hotel internet went down. Sorry!  :(

This morning we had labs at an empty hotel room to get a head start on our day at the chemo lab. Typically the nurse arrives about 8 and is assigned an empty room. We gather there in comfy clothes and then can rest in our room until appointment time. It is a huge benefit for all! Here are a few of our classmates with Deb.
Deb was low on Potassium this morning and left with an infuser. The APNs were so happy with  her progress that they have applied for a earlier dismissal appointment with Dr. Nair. Right now it is for Friday. We might get one in the next few days.

Deb's white blood count went into the safe range so we got the van driver to deliver us from the cancer center directly to the Cantino Laredo since Deb was having a guacamole fit. It was soon satisfied and we hopped a ride back for her nap. We may get our appointment time later today or in the morning. I'll post an update when I get it. If the weather allows, we will ask one of the angel pilots to pick us up in Gracie the next day. Big packing job ahead for Vern!

Bonus photo: Which grand baby is this?

  2. Boy is she a cutie! I think the red hair is a give-a-way. Also, she looks dressed a bit warmly for Atl. Thanks for sharing the pic. Steve and I dog and cat sat this weekend and don't even have a single picture to prove it. So glad for the good white blood count. We look forward to seeing you soon. Wish you could make it for dinner on Tuesday, but maybe you'll be here for the next one. jan
