The silver-haired lady on the right is Vern's mother who is 39 years old...again...today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!!
The man in the hat is Vern's father who turned 87 on May 29th. The lady in the center is Deb's mother Doris. Doris lives in the same nursing home in Warner Robins that Vern's grandmother and aunt Betty lived in. Deb's brother Tim and Vern's sister Kay help take care of Doris.
Deb is so grateful for Tim and Kay and their loving care of Doris. As the oldest child in her family Deb feels the responsibility to care for her mother but has very little ability to do so. Thanks Tim and Kay!!!
Vern's parents are still independent and live in their home in Morrow, Ga.

On another topic, I'm sure you have seen some of the Olympics. How about the USA Lady Gymnastics Team? Gold!
Gymnastics hold a special place in our household as we spent a lifetime in our local gym when our children were young. When our budget became strained as my airline was floundering in the late eighties Deb took it on herself to barter with the gym so our three kids could remain in the gym. She started cleaning the large bathrooms, etc. so they could remain. Do you know how stinky gym bathrooms can get? More golden character demonstrated by Deb! Thanks Deb!

Stand by for more news later in the day as it happens!
I always believe that exercise with proper diet, proper food intake goes together. Visiting to local gym with abiding all the healthy advice is doing the right thing.
